Dr. Weidong Pei
Principal Dentist
Dr. Weidong Pei is a highly skilled and experienced dentist with a career spanning over 20 years in clinical care, academic instruction, and biomedical research. He holds dual doctoral degrees from the University of Toronto: a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and a PhD in Biomedical Science, reflecting his deep commitment to both evidence-based practice and innovation in oral health.
Dr. Pei has a keen professional interest in implant dentistry and is internationally recognized for his advanced expertise in the field. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID), one of the highest credentials in implantology and is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He holds Fellowship and Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), underscoring his comprehensive knowledge and commitment to lifelong learning.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Pei has served for over eight years as a clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontology and Prosthodontics at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, where he helps train future dental professionals in both surgical and restorative disciplines.
Dr. Pei is known for his precision, integrity, and patient-centered approach, combining scientific excellence with compassionate care.
Dr. Xiaoxia Sun
Dr. Xiaoxia Sun earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Dentistry from West China University of Medical Sciences in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Following her graduation, she worked for seven years in the Department of Endodontics at Tianjin Stomatological Hospital. After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Sun successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board (NDEB) examinations and became a licensed dentist in Ontario in 2019.
Dr. Sun is a dedicated and compassionate dental professional, with extensive clinical experience, particularly in root canal therapy. She is committed to excellence and strives to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
Dr. Jing (Miki) Lu
Dentist
Dr. Jing (Miki) Lu was born in Beijing, China and grew up in Tokyo, Japan, but now she calls Toronto her home. She received her Bachelor of Science degree with honours from the University of Toronto, and went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Cell and Systems Biology. With growing interests in dentistry and health care, Dr. Lu then studied in U of T dental school and earned Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2019.
Throughout her studies in dental school, Dr. Lu enjoyed volunteerism and joined Ecuador MEDLIFE Dental Development team and the Halliburton Volunteer Outreach Clinic to provide dental care to underprivileged communities.
Dr. Lu firmly believes in ethical, patient-centered care: a philosophy shared by all members of the Lansing Dental Centre team.
Dr. Debbie Kao
Dentist
Dr. Debbie Kao is a graduate from the University of Toronto earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2025. Prior to her dental education, she completed her BHsc in Health Sciences at McMaster University. In the office, her energy is fully charged! She enjoys working with patients of all ages, from seniors to children, and all disciplines of dentistry that are within her limits.
Dr. Kao continues to improve her knowledge and skills through various dental study clubs and continual education with a focus on treatment planning and restorative dentistry. If not dentistry, Dr. Kao enjoys keeping her hands busy doing 3D modelling. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and going to the gym.
Dr. Lian Hu
Dentist
Dr. Lian Hu earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. Prior to moving to Canada, he served as an attending doctor in the Department of Stomatology at Tongji Hospital in Wuhan, China.
Dr. Hu has extensive experience in restorative dentistry, periodontics, and wisdom tooth extractions. He is passionate about providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. Dr. Hu is also a proud member of the Canadian Dental Association.
Hong Shen
Dental Hygienist
Hong is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Ontario and a graduate of CBC College of Ontario, with a specialization in dentist-supervised orthodontic care. She formerly served as Director of the Orthodontics Department at Qingdao Municipal Hospital in China, bringing over 20 years of clinical experience to her practice. Her extensive expertise in orthodontics has been honed through decades of professional work across both Chinese and Canadian healthcare systems.
Yehong (Julia) Ji
Dental Hygienist
Julia is a Registered Dental Hygienist in Ontario with extensive experience in oral healthcare. She began her dental career after graduating from CDI College in 2006, working as a dental assistant. In 2012, she furthered her education at the RCC Institute of Technology (a division of Yorkville University, New Brunswick), where she earned her qualification as a registered independent dental hygienist in Ontario.
With a strong clinical background in the prevention and treatment of periodontal and other oral diseases, Yehong has spent many years gaining hands-on experience and refining her skills. She is known for her professionalism, responsibility, and meticulous attention to detail. Yehong is also exceptionally patient and compassionate with her clients, acting not only as a skilled clinician but also as a supportive teacher and friend on their journey to better oral health.
